Description
As the Catering Manager you will be hands on and responsible for the catering function across both hostel, both front and back of house. You will be responsible for the management and control of the budget, cooking and serving meals and working closely with and developing team you will ensure professional development and delivery of an excellent food service
This position is a dual site position between YHA Whitby and YHA Bogglehole.
Catering Manager Duties
•To manage the effective delivery of food & beverage service and consistently deliver a positive experience to all customers.
•Proactively review and respond to customer feedback seeking opportunities to improve the overall customer experience
•Manage and promote the food & beverage function, in accordance with YHA's Food & Beverage Operating Standards including; purchasing, invoicing, stock control and menu costs to minimise waste
•Drive all sales opportunities
•Responsible for Food Hygiene standards
Salary & Benefits

Requirements
Ideally we are looking for individuals with:
•A proven ability of, or able to demonstrate, management of teams, preferably within a similar environment.
•Previous experience of working within the hospitality industry and able to demonstrate knowledge of current tourist industry standards
•Evidence of food & beverage / catering management and operational delivery in food service and menu planning
•Evidence of recruiting, mentoring and developing others
