Bar and Lounge Manager

The Rubens at the Palace Hotel is one of London's most established hotels, located opposite Buckingham Palace's Royal Mews in Victoria. The safari-chic Leopard Champagne Bar is located within the hotel offering an intimate atmosphere reflecting that of the famous Leopard Lounge at the sibling Hotel d’Angleterre in Geneva. It provides a warm, inviting and exclusive environment and boasts the finest selection of Champagnes by the bottle and the glass; Whiskies, Cognacs, Armagnacs and fine wines, together with light dishes including Sevruga Caviar.

We are currently recruiting for a Bar and Lounge Manager to join our Food and Beverage team, ensuring an outstanding level of service to clients and reporting to our Food and Beverage Manager. This role will not only look after the Leopard Bar, you will be co-managing the afternoon tea service and all activities in the lounge area alongside the Cavalry Bar Manager. In both of these areas you will be expected to maximise sales by upselling where applicable.

Requirements

As this bar is a unique selling point for the hotel, we are looking for someone with the perfect personality to be able to maintain the rapport with our current guests as well as attract new customers.

Extensive expertise in serving premium and luxury products is essential for this role.

The suitable candidate must have previous experience of running an elegant Hotel Bar; coupled with experience of dealing with elite guests and superb communication skills.
