Description
We are currently recruiting for waiting staff at Cheltenham Racecourse for the 2012 race season.
As a member of the waiting team at Cheltenham Racecourse you are responsible for serving allocated customers with all food and beverages in an efficient and polite manner.
This may come in a variety of ways such as buffet, plate waiting and box waiting. This could also include greeting, seating and taking customer’s orders as required.
You will also need to be able to complete the docket and adhere to the drinks/ food ordering system in place.
You will be responsible for clearing tables, adjust settings and linen (relaying if necessary).
You will also be accountable for maintaining a clean and tidy work area adhering to health and hygiene legislation.
We are the official caterers at Cheltenham Racecourse which is home to hunt racing and host to the famous National Hunt Festival - Gold Cup.
Catering at Cheltenham Racecourse, provide high quality catering in an exciting environment, with an outstanding range of menus and bespoke packages to suit every occasion.
We are part of the Compass Group who manage multiple venues around the UK once you are registered with us you will be eligible to work at other major sporting venues such as Wimbledon, Edgbaston and Henley Regatta.
References are required.
Requirements
You will be over 16 years of age.
You will posses a pleasant, friendly, polite manner and good customer service skills.
You will need to be aware of legality when selling alcohol (If waiting check with supervisor on restrictions when pouring and serving alcohol).
Basic numeracy and literacy skill are necessary.
Experience is not essential.
