Description
We are currently looking for a Chef de Partie to join the team at our 5-star hotel in Central London. This is a very busy and demanding role which requires excellent communication and organisation skills as well as the ability to deliver to high standards under pressure.
The main responsibilities of The Chef de Partie are:
* To provide the highest quality food for the hotel by assisting the Head Chef in all areas of kitchen operation
* To develop and implement business strategies for the department
* To ensure the highest quality of product within cost constraints by managing and overseeing food preparation
* To assist in overseeing all kitchen operational areas and follows proper staffing guidelines
Requirements
The successful candidate:
* Must be able to perform all tasks required of a Chef de Partie
* Can take responsibilities for any section of the kitchen and meet standards in health and hygiene, staffing and organisational planning, recipe standards, promotion of learning environment, and food quality and preparation
* Participates in the development of recipes
* Food & beverage product knowledge, and an understanding of menu content and impact, and pricing guidelines
* Good command of the English language
* Is confident ability to communicate & establish rapport
* Holds Food and Hygiene certificates
1 year's previous experience would be highly advantageous.
