As well as hosting County and International cricket matches, the Oval also offers conference and events facilities. We are currently recruiting for plate waiting staff to assist with the table lay up and ensure that tables are properly prepared for service.

Main responsibilities:

Receive assist in the unloading of deliveries ensuring all goods are signed in and checked for quality and amounts.
To work as part of the distribution team maintaining all stock is stored correctly in the relevant areas, and stock rotation happens to make sure no items are going out of date as directed.
To conduct the beer lines clean for the arena on a weekly basis, as directed by the Retail & Cellar Manager or Retail & Cellar Assistant Manager.
Take part in stock takes of whole area when required as managed by the Retail & Cellar Manager or Retail & Cellar Assistant Manager.
Reports punctually for duty with a clean and tidy appearance, dressed according to Compass and OEL requirements, and to abide by all the regulations laid out in the staff induction leaflets and handbook.
To ensure all storage areas are kept clean and tidy, and locked when not in use
To ensure all equipment is in working order before and after use and to report any defects as soon as possible to the relevant manager.

Delivering and collecting food, liquor and additional items to the operational and office areas as required, observing the methods of safe lifting and manual handling.
To observe the security regulations and complete all aspects of the control systems.

The worker is required to work under a casual contract, on a flexible shift rota basis, according to the demands of the business.
