Description

Provide good quality food and excellent service which is key to the enjoyment of members and guests. The Catering is run from our galley on board Egremont, a converted ex Mersey ferry, which provides accommodation and facilities for residents, non-residents and staff, which can reach over 120 people at the height of the season.
 
Working closely with the Head of Centre, you will be part of a team responsible for providing 3 meals a day for our clients and employees.
 
The success of the catering operation has a direct impact on the overall success of the ICC and el in providing good food out of a self-organised, well-run catering service.
 
A happy, outgoing person who isn’t afraid of hard work and who thrives on excellent customer service, with an interest in sailing or learning to sail, as well as other outdoor activities, would be an ideal candidate for this position.

Requirements

Planning of daily menus for breakfast, lunch and evening meals. To liaise with the Head of Centre on forward booking information regarding number of meals required for each meal service and to ensure that special food requests are catered for; especially with regard to food allergies etc. To assist with the ordering, arrangement of delivery and, if necessary, help with collection of supplies. To organise the daily duty rotas for the galley team. To be responsible for safety in the Galley and to ensure that all food is prepared and served in line with food safety regulations and good practice. To adhere to HSE and local authority regulations. To ensure the galley, all food preparation and storage areas, fridge, freezer and other equipment are maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness.
